“Mastering Coordination”
“Jaqueline was an excellent choice as Project Manager for the APACE EIC Pathfinder project. Managing 10 institutions across Europe and coordinating around 50 researchers—both senior and junior—is no simple task. Jaqueline brings the right combination of organizational skills, insight, and broad perspective to oversee all managerial aspects of the project. On top of that, she has the perfect personality to keep all of us on track!”
Luca Celardo
Coordinator of APACE project and Prof. of Physics at the University of Florence

“A Straightforward Adventure”
“Writing the MSCA-DN proposal with Jaqueline was a straightforward adventure in which I was able to focus on pure science whereas she took care of all the rest. Given the nature of such grant proposals, taking care of ‘all the rest’ requires efficiency, precision, attention to details and being always on-time in spite of overwhelming amount of writing to do.”
Daniel Gryko
Director of the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Polish academy of Sciences

“Everything in Good Hands”
“Working with Jaqueline is such a luxury. It allows you to focus on what really matters: the science. Meanwhile you know that she takes care of everything else—the administration, formatting, impact section, as well as keeping everything on track.”

Asst. Prof. of Emerging Infectious Diseases, Institute of Tropical Medicine
FAQ
Preparing and managing EU-funded projects is time-consuming and requires navigating complex, programme- and call-specific requirements, strict evaluation criteria, and tight timelines – often alongside demanding research, institutional, or business responsibilities. Working with an external consultant helps reduce risk, avoid misaligned efforts, and introduce an independent, critical perspective that goes beyond internal assumptions, ultimately strengthening the overall quality and competitiveness of proposals and projects.
What distinguishes my work is the combination of a solid, hands-on scientific research background and extensive experience in international, multicultural environments. Having worked directly in the laboratory, I understand how research is conceived and carried out in practice, allowing me to engage deeply with the scientific content of projects. At the same time, my experience across different countries, institutional contexts, and languages enables clear and effective communication within heterogeneous consortia, where expertise, expectations, and cultural approaches often differ.
I provide structured, hands-on support across the entire project lifecycle, combining strategic guidance, evaluator-style insight, and practical experience. My role is to complement your scientific expertise by ensuring clarity, coherence, compliance, and effective management – so you can focus on research excellence.
I work in a structured, transparent, and collaborative way, with a high level of involvement from both sides throughout the process. Proposal development is a collaborative activity rather than a service delivered in isolation. The work starts with a strategic positioning analysis thorough understanding of your project, including its objectives, constraints, scientific background, novelty, impact and added value.
The full proposal is developed progressively through coordinated working meetings both at the coordinator and the consortium level. I support the process by structuring content, animating and moderating discussions, and contributing to the development of text, figures, charts, and other elements that strengthen clarity and impact. When applicable, I also interface directly with administrative and financial offices on budget-related and compliance aspects, ensuring coherence between scientific content and European Commission’s administrative requirements.
I work with a trusted network of experienced colleagues, ensuring additional expertise and continuity in more complex situations. My approach follows a structured methodology co- developed through my collaboration with Strola Consulting and is adapted to the specific needs of each project and research and innovation domain.
My level of involvement is flexible and agreed in advance. Depending on your requirements, I can act as a strategic advisor, an independent reviewer, a hands-on proposal developer, or a project manager handling administrative and reporting tasks.
I provide support across the full EU project lifecycle, adapting the level and scope of involvement to your specific needs:
• Funding scouting and call identification
• Support for idea development and consortium building
• Proposal writing and development
• Pre-submission proposal quality review
• Support during grant agreement and consortium agreement preparation
• Project implementation and management, including reporting, communication, and dissemination
• Training and capacity building
You can engage me for targeted support at a specific stage or for end-to-end assistance throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Ideally, as early as possible – around 4-5 months before the submission deadline for full proposal development. Early involvement allows for stronger strategic positioning, appropriate call selection, and realistic planning, while reducing time pressure as the deadline approaches.
That said, I also support teams at later stages, including pre-submission proposal review shortly before the deadline and project management once funding is secured. If you are unsure whether it is the right moment to get in touch, a brief discussion is often enough to clarify the most effective next step.
I work with a broad range of organizations and profiles involved in European Research & Innovation projects. This includes companies with research and development departments that want to approach European funding for the first time or strengthen their participation, as well as universities and research institutes active in EU programmes.
I support both large collaborative consortia and individual researchers, including applications for schemes such as ERC and MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships. My support is adapted to the specific context – whether coordinating complex multi-partner projects or working closely with a single applicant on highly competitive individual proposals.
I work in close collaboration with institutional research support and grants offices, which typically focus on budget preparation, administrative procedures, and formal compliance. While these offices play a crucial role, they are often required to manage a high volume of proposals across departments and research groups, limiting the time and focus they can dedicate to each individual project.
My role complements their work by focusing on the scientific content, project structure, and narrative development, ensuring coherence between scientific objectives and administrative requirements. This collaboration helps reduce the workload on internal offices, provides more targeted support to researchers, and bridges the gap between scientific project development and the administrative, financial, and compliance-oriented expertise covered by research support offices.
No consultant can guarantee funding success, as final decisions depend on competitive evaluation by independent experts.
What I do guarantee is structured, high-quality support aligned with official requirements and evaluation criteria, aimed at strengthening clarity, coherence, compliance, and overall competitiveness – significantly improving your proposal’s chances of performing well in evaluation.
